Glynn Blackwell

Glynn Blackwell is a former All-State, Dream Team player from Highland Park High, MI.  He received a basketball scholarship to play at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, in 1984-88.  Upon graduation, Glynn pursued his dream to play in the NBA by trying out for the Seattle Supersonics.  Afterward being released, Glynn traveled throughout Europe, playing professional basketball in Turkey, Greece, Mexico, Philippines, Cyprus, and Estonia.

In 1992, Glynn started a basketball camp for boys/girls under the Reggie Mc Kenzie Foundation a nationally known non-profit organization that serves the youth in the city of Highland Park and metro Detroit area. His girls’ basketball camp was proud to have some of the nation’s first WNBA players participate.

For the past 12 years, Glynn has served as the Director of Athletics at Novi Christian Academy (NCA) overseeing the daily operations of their athletic programs, assigning and evaluating coaches, overseeing their budget and establishing funding programs.

Glynn and his wife Jillian have three sons Mackenzy, Johnathan, and Robert.
